The Suite Experience At Scotiabank Arena

A couple of weeks ago, I went to see Kevin Hart in concert at Scotiabank Arena, and I was lucky enough to purchase a discounted ticket for a suite. Right off the bat, I want to apologize for the lack of pictures and videos of this experience. As this is a comedy event, video and audio recordings are strictly prohibited. In fact, in order to enter the arena with our tickets, we had to place our electronic devices (smartphones, smart watches, etc.) inside a pouch, which is locked when you enter the arena and unlocked when you exit the arena (you keep the pouch with you).

The best thing I can do for you in this blog post is to describe the experience of being in a suite. I have never experienced an event inside a suite, and I was interested to know what the experience was like compared to sitting in a regular seat in the arena.

There was a private elevator in the arena that took you to the upper levels where the theatre suites were. After a quick check of our ticket stubs, we were whisked away to our suite. Our suite was a private room with its own balcony deck where we can sit and watch the event. There was also a bar table where you can sit and watch the event as well. There were various finger foods put out for us as well, including tortilla chips and salsa, pretzels, and popcorn, which was great. There were also some sports memorabilia in the room as well, which was a nice touch. When I walked down to the balcony, I could not believe how high this suite was and how it towered over the stage, as well as my personal viewpoint, because I felt like I could see everything. This would be great for watching a hockey game, but for a basketball game, I would rather be closer to the court.

We had our own personal attendant for the suite in case we wanted any food, drinks, or any other requests. She was attentive and professional. She handled our coats and jackets, and told us a bit about the suite and what you can order. I enjoyed her company and was happy to learn a little bit more about her and her jobs. Like the alcoholics we were, we ordered a bottle of Crown Royal and some beers and settled ourselves in for a night of big laughs. Kevin Hart and the opening act had me laughing so hard I was crying. The event was great and I was glad to be a part of it.

I would absolutely recommend staying in a suite (if you can afford it, or just look for discounts), and I would like to the suite again, but this time for a sporting event.
