Cruise Ship Review: Celebrity Infinity

I came back from my trip sailing with Celebrity Cruises, which is a luxury-focused cruise line. I was on a 7-night cruise aboard the Celebrity Infinity, which sailed to Croatia, Turkey, and various ports in Greece. The Celebrity Infinity is a part of their Millennium-class ships, built between 2000-2002 and all recently renovated, though the Infinity definitely shows its age in its decor and furnishings. My perks for sailing on this cruise include the basic Wifi package, the classic drink package, and an onboard credit.

The Worst and Best of Air Transat

I just came back from my extended vacation in Europe, and even though there were too many tours and not enough beach days, I still had a good time. My trip was book-ended by two flights from Air Transat. The flight going to Rome was the worst flight I have ever experienced, while the flight coming home from Athens was the best flight I ever experienced. I will talk about both experiences in the first of my many blog posts from the Europe trip.

The Service At The Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica Resort

When I wrote my review on the Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica resort, I stated that I was going to write a separate post on the service that members of my wedding party and myself received. The provided service to us during our stay had to be some of the worst service we have received in our lives. I have been involved in, and witnessed several incidents and altercations that have disappointed me on how the Grand Bahia staff and management handled each situation.

The MSC Seaside is one the newest cruise ships patrolling the Caribbean with excited curious guests, and I was one of those guests. I came back from my stay aboard the MSC Seaside, a technology-driven cruise ship for sailing around the Caribbean, in an attempt to penetrate the North American cruise ship market. MSC is a European cruise line, and the company is hoping to bring some European influence to North America through the MSC Seaside, the first MSC ship built specifically for sailing around North America. We sailed with the Bella experience, which is the basic package for sailing on the ship. You can upgrade your package for a fee.

Resort Review: Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal

I just came back from my vacation in Mexico, staying at the 5-star Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal, which is a part of the Grand Bahia Principe family of resorts. This resort is a part of the compound that also has three other Bahia Principe resorts in the same area (Coba, Tulum, and Sian Ka'an). Here's my review:

Check-In

The check-in process was a bit chaotic. We arrived at 12pm, and when we checked in, our rooms weren't ready until 3pm, so we had to wait. It also didn't help that many people in our group were booked in different villas, so the resort had to book us closer together. The staff did bring some welcome drinks to help to alleviate the frustrating experience.
