MSC Seaside Highlights

The MSC Seaside is one the newest cruise ships patrolling the Caribbean with excited curious guests, and I was one of those guests. Although I gave the ship a less-than-favorable review, there were still positives that I would like to share on this post. I would like to talk about all of my favorite places and things to do among the MSC Seaside.

There were two places where I can get the best views looking outside the ship. The first place is my very own balcony. I do not have to leave the confines of my own room space in order for me to look out into the blue sea, look out for any landmasses, or just hear if anyone was playing any music outside their room.

The other place where I like to get amazing views is the Bridge of Sighs on Deck 18. The Bridge of Sighs is a bridge suspended in the air with a glass floor where you can see the bottom. The area offered a breathtaking view of the Miami skyline when the ship was in the Miami port. When the ship was at sea, I also could not help but look down at the back of the ship and be in a trance by the way the ship was propelling through the water. The Bridge of Sighs was also a great place to take pictures of yourself for your Instagram profile.

The pool where I always stayed at was the Jungle Pool Lounge on Deck 18, as it was always less busier than the open deck Miami Beach pool on Deck 16, and the South Beach pool on Deck 7. The Jungle pool felt more intimate than the other two pools, as the area surrounding the pool was covered, and I enjoyed how close the bar was to the pool, so it was easy to get a drink as well.

I spent some time watching Toronto Raptors games at the Sports Bar on Deck 8, and found myself expanding my beer palette by trying many different beers that I have not tried before on the menu. My extended family and I would cram into one of the private booths to watch the basketball game in the hope that the Raptors would advance to the NBA Finals.

I had myself a gelato on the second day on my cruise, and it felt much denser than regular ice cream. I got the chocolate and hazelnut paste flavor, and the gelato was amazing.

There would always be some spontaneous party or performance happening every evening at the Seaside Bar on Deck 5. I found the Gatsby party to be the most entertaining, due to one of the performers not being able to contain her laughter during the performance.

My absolute favorite place to go to on the MSC Seaside was the Chocolate Bar on Deck 6. The bar would sell various premium chocolates (which all melted in my mouth), hot beverages, and their in-house chocolate martini.

The chocolate martini was one of the most impressive-looking drinks I have ever seen, with chocolate shavings surrounding the lip of the glass, and the creation of a vodka martini infused with chocolate filling the glass. I do not normally like drinking martinis, but when I was drinking it, I tasted more of the chocolate rather than the vodka itself.

I also had a hot chocolate with whipped cream at the bar as well. I tasted nothing but pure cocoa when scooping the drink with my spoon, with seemingly no sweetness at all. With the hot chocolate, the incredible combination was the chocolate with the whipped cream. The richness of the hot chocolate combined with the sweetness of the whipped cream created an outstanding tingling sensation inside my mouth.

There was a 'white party' at the top deck of the ship, and while the DJ was playing all the club tracks, everyone was mostly standing around talking.

Lastly, I would like to share my video of the things I did and witnessed while cruising on the MSC Seaside. Highlights include a first-person view of one of the water slides at the water park, a poorly planned sword fight at the pirate party, and my cousin's amazing karaoke singing.

Hope you enjoy!
