Our last port that the Celebrity Infinity stopped at (before the end of our voyage) was the Greek city of Nafplio. We needed a day to just relax at the beach, and Nafplio did not look like there was much going on in terms of interesting things to see, so this was our designated beach day. This was another of those stops where we had to take a tender boat to get to the actual port of Nafplio, and the views from the ship and the tender boat were impressive. There was hilly terrain with the occasional fortified structure.
The city of Nafplio itself looked quaint and sleepy. The bus picked us up from the port and took us on a winding road to the big beach south of the city. Local bars dotted the beach with beach chairs that you could rent. Further down the beach was one of those big inflatable water slides on the water that people could use.
We found ourselves some beach chairs and I went out into the water. The water was calm and was not choppy at all, but the water was unusually cold. I was able to acclimatize to the water, but the water temperature was definitely at my lower limit of water tolerance. I used this time to take pictures and videos using my waterproof case, but because of the awkwardness of the waterproof case, my finger would occasionally get in the way of my phone camera lens.
I tried a swig of Ouzo from a mini-bottle and I did not like drinking this liquor at all. Ouzo had this weird black licorice taste, almost similar to drinking Fireball or Sambuca.
After a day at the beach of swimming and drinking Mythos beer and Ouzo, we piled back into the bus to take us back to the port and back to the ship. The beach in Nafplio was a nice day out, but if I somehow end up back here again, I may want to see what is worth checking out.

Beautiful beach. I'm jealous with the calmness of the beach in Europe.
