The Middle Of Nowhere: The Saskatoon Railway Station

The second stop on VIA Rail's "The Canadian" where we got to hop out of the train and stretch our legs was the city of Saskatoon in Saskatchewan. I wish I could tell you that on this brief stop in the Prairies, there was something worth seeing, but this railway station was in the middle of nowhere and nowhere near downtown. Regardless, I captured some pictures that I will share with you

So it looks like this railway station was in the middle of a trailer and container yard, which is definitely what tourists will want to see as soon as they step off the train.

The only thing that was even remotely interesting is a mural in the Saskatoon railway station with a number of pictures of the things you can see and experience in Saskatoon. I do not think any of these things are within a reasonable walking distance from the Saskatoon railway station.

There was this old VIA Rail station board with where the train is coming from and where it is going to.

I wish there was more to show you, but this is just a stop for me to stretch my legs and say that I have been to Saskatchewan.
