Vancouver Lookout Media Gallery + Gastown Steam Clock

One of the things you can do in Vancouver is to go up to the Vancouver Lookout to get 360-degree views of Vancouver and the surrounding area. I believe admission was around $21 plus tax, which was not too bad. Right off the bat, I forgot to get a picture of the actual Vancouver Lookout tower up close, but you will see it in another upcoming Vancouver post, so here is a generic downtown Vancouver picture.

Meandering Around Granville Island In Vancouver

Last March was the first time I ever flew out to the west coast of Canada, and there were other things that I did that were not going to football matches or going to high-priced attractions. I want to talk about the other things I did in the very short time that I had here. I stayed in downtown Vancouver for two nights, and downtown Vancouver did not feel all that different than downtown Toronto, with the high-rise condominiums, gentrified shops, and odd people. Regardless, on the morning of the first day when we got to the hotel, we went to Granville Island for some food and shopping.

An Impromptu Trip To The Canadian Classique

Last week, I went to a Toronto FC match, and this was the first time I went to a Toronto FC match since before the pandemic. Specifically, I went to the Canadian Championship match against the Montreal Impact CF Montreal. I can already hear people ask me why I would go to a Toronto FC match. "I thought you were done with Toronto FC!" some would say. That is true for now, but permit me to explain myself.

When You Feel The Sting Of Being Left Out

I need to go back into my mental health bag for this blog post, and I want to talk about a feeling that I had been occasionally having that gives me great grief on some nights. I would normally talk about this with my therapist, but because I do not want to pay the $160 for an hour long session, and no one else would want to hear about my problems for free, I am going to talk about it here on this blog post. Strap yourself in, because this is going to be a bumpy one.

A Quick Stop In The Mountain Town Of Jasper, Alberta

While on VIA Rail's "The Canadian" from Vancouver to Toronto, there were extended stops where we could walk around for a specified period of time. There were two places where we were able to get off the train and stretch our legs, and I will talk about one of those places. We got to explore the municipality of Jasper in Alberta for about an hour. I have never been to Jasper before, and it was nice to be in a mountain town with the picturesque setting of the Rocky Mountains surrounding it. People come to Jasper primarily for tourism, including exploring Jasper National Park.
